In this article, I will give you a step-by-step tutorial on how to install Google Analytics to WordPress. Google Analytics is a vital tool for the survival of your website/blog, and the good thing about it is, it's FREE!
What is google analytics
Google Analytics is used to gather information so you know what your audience is looking for. Once you sign up, you'll be able to see where your audience is from geographically, what articles are least/most popular, how long the readers stay for and the list goes on.
Why is google Analytics important for me, as a blogger?
After you start a blog, the most important thing is to get traffic to it. That's why it's important I show you how to install Google Analytics to WordPress. It plays a big part in helping you figure out what to focus on, and when.
Along with the above mentioned, Google Analytics shows you what day your audience is most active on your blog. Plus, you can see what time of day you have the most readers.
These two factors are very important because you can base the time you publish your posts around this. And if your readers are in a different timezone, you can schedule it to post whenever you want by pressing on the ‘Edit' button next to ‘Publish immediately', and set a time you want to post.
Another great feature is seeing how your readers find you. Chances are, if you have a blog, you'll be using any resource possible to promote it. These can be a number of places such as Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, guest postings and more.
If you're getting a lot of traffic from Facebook, then you know to focus your marketing there. If it's from a guest post you did for another website/blog, you can reach out to them and ask to do a collaboration. Isn't it great to have such insight? Thank you, Google!
